Jacek Lewandowski has a comprehensive work experience in the field of software engineering and teaching. Jacek started their career as a Software Engineer at Infovide-Matrix in 2006 and then worked as a Trainer at Oracle from 2007 to 2009. Following that, they joined Source as a Software Engineer from 2003 to 2010. Jacek also worked as an IT Trainer at Javatech from 2011 to 2013.
In 2009, Jacek joined Semantive as a Software Engineer, where they worked until 2014. During this time, they also started working at Warsaw University of Technology, initially as a Research Assistant and Software Engineer from 2010 to 2014. Jacek then became an Assistant Professor at the university. At Warsaw University of Technology, they participated in various research projects, including the Text Mining Platform Supporting Ontology Building and Maintenance project for France Telecom and the SYNAT project.
In 2014, Jacek joined DataStax as a Software Engineer with the Analytics Team and later assumed the role of Senior Software Engineer. Jacek remained with DataStax until 2022 when they joined Apache Cassandra as a Committer.
Jacek Lewandowski has a strong educational background in the field of Information Technology. Jacek obtained their PhD from Warsaw University of Technology between 2006 and 2012, specializing in Information Technology. Prior to that, they completed their MSc from the same university between 2001 and 2006, focusing on Data Communication and Telecommunications Management.
In addition to their academic achievements, Jacek has also obtained two notable certifications. In September 2021, they became a Certified Kubernetes Application Developer from the CNCF (Cloud Native Computing Foundation). Furthermore, in May 2006, they received the Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform, Standard Edition 5.0 (SCJP) certification from Sun Educational Services.
