Jake Luciani

Jake Luciani has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Jake has been with DataStax since 2014, initially starting as a Lead Developer and later progressing to the position of Chief Architect. In their role as Chief Architect, Jake is responsible for leading the technical design and implementation of the company's database products and services. Jake is actively involved in writing code and contributing to product development. Prior to joining DataStax, Jake worked as a Quantitative Strategist at BlueMountain Capital Management. Jake also has a strong involvement in the open-source community, holding various roles at The Apache Software Foundation, including Cassandra PMC Member, Apache Thrift Committer and PMC Member, and Apache Cassandra Committer. Jake's earlier experience includes positions such as Director/Sr. Software Developer at UBS Investment Bank, Lead Developer at ATTAP Technologies, and Sr. Software Developer at RiskMetrics Group. Jake began their career at Lucent Technologies in the Optoelectronics field.

Jake Luciani pursued their undergraduate studies from 1995 to 1999 at Lehigh University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
