John Funge

John Funge is the current Chief Product Officer at Datatribe. Prior to this, they were the CEO and Co-founder of The Music Fund from March 2018 to September 2021. The Music Fund was acquired by HIFI. Before The Music Fund, Funge was the Director of Data Science at Winton from January 2016 to November 2018. Funge was also the CTO and Co-founder of Knack.it from November 2011 to January 2016. Prior to Knack.it, Funge worked as the Director of Engineering - Streaming Insights Group at Netflix from June 2009 to October 2011. Funge has also been an Assistant Adjunct Professor at University of California Santa Cruz from April 2007 to June 2013.

John Funge has a MSc in Computation from the University of Oxford, a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Toronto, and a BSc in Mathematics and Computer Science from King's College London. John also has certification from Coursera in Deep Learning Specialization, Sequence Models, Convolutional Neural Networks, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, and Neural Networks and Deep Learning.
