Hylton Peimer

Hylton Peimer is the CTO at Datos Health. Hylton has over 10 years of experience in the IT industry, specializing in software development and architecture.

Peimer started their career as a software developer at Digital Fuel, where they worked for two years before being promoted to architect. In this role, they were responsible for the design and implementation of the company's software products.

In 2011, Peimer joined Aternity as a server team leader. Hylton led both the infrastructure team responsible for J2EE server infrastructure and later a functional team. Projects included building an Installer (install4j), implementing Mercurial DVCS, converting server to run in Tomcat container and supporting REST web services, JMS (ActiveMQ) and Import/Export for system objects. Later, their focus moved more toward business logic, such as integrating Tableau, building a proprietary database for storing raw data, and implementing a multi-dimensional data model.

In 2014, Peimer left Aternity to become a partner at HL Opportunity Fund LP, a FinTech company that developed a low-volatility strategy for investing using US equity CALL options. Hylton ran the strategy on a managed account and oversaw the development of the company's algo-trading system [implementation: AngularJS, Bootstrap3, Google Charts, Java8, Spring, REST, MySQL running on Docker] which provided complete portfolio management, hedge advice, and trade generation.
