Katherine Peter is a professional with a diverse background in history, education, and public engagement. Currently serving as a Staff Genealogist at the Daughters of the American Revolution since August 2023, Katherine previously worked at Dumbarton House as both an Event Supervisor and Education Specialist, where educational programming for children and visitor engagement were key responsibilities. As a Public History Fellow at the White House Historical Association, contributions included research, content creation for digital platforms, and the development of a database on former White House residential staff. Katherine's experience also includes roles as a Writing Center Tutor at American University and SUNY Geneseo, a Clerical Assistant at Northwest Bank and the Town of Amherst, and an Archives Intern at the National Comedy Center. Katherine holds a Master of Arts in Public/Applied History from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in History and American Studies with a minor in Political Science from SUNY Geneseo.
