Marty Acevedo is a dedicated health care professional with extensive experience in supporting individuals with Parkinson's disease. Currently serving as the President and Chair of the Board of Directors at The Parkinson's Association of San Diego since May 2021, Marty also holds volunteer ambassador roles with the Davis Phinney Foundation and Parkinson's Foundation Aware in Care, focusing on providing resources and improving patient safety. Since retiring from a long career at Tri-City Medical Center, where Marty was the Director of Food & Nutrition, Environmental Services, and Patient Transport Express, efforts have included developing integrated exercise programs for individuals with Parkinson's at Tri City Wellness Center and co-founding Coach Me Strong, an online fitness platform. Marty earned a BS in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and an MS in Biology & Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport.
