At DI - Dansk Industri, Anne held two positions. First, they worked as a Strategic Advisor & Executive Assistant to the Deputy Director General of Member Relations and Deputy Director General of Policy. Anne Hagen focused on strategy development, communications, strategic management, and execution. Later, they became a Political Advisor, where they mainly worked on public affairs, public-private partnerships, digitalization, HealthTech, and innovation in the Danish healthcare system. Anne Hagen was also involved in the establishment and fundraising of a national start-up ecosystem for the healthtech industry.

Anne also has experience as an External Lecturer at the University of Copenhagen, where they taught medical students about the organization and structure of the Danish healthcare system, public health politics, and economy.

Earlier in their career, they worked as a Consultant at KL, where they were responsible for political affairs and strategies in public health promotion and prevention, antenatal care and child health, dental care, as well as rehabilitation and palliation within cancer care. Anne Hagen also served as a Student Assistant at KL.

Additionally, Anne worked as a Youth Guide at Komiteen for Sundhedsoplysning and an External Supervisor at Syddansk Universitet. Anne Hagen also completed an internship at Mbulu District Hospital.

Anne Hagen Nielsen completed their education in the field of Public Health Science. Anne Hagen obtained a Bachelor's degree from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen in 2014. In 2015, they had a non-graduate exchange student experience at the National University of Singapore, also studying Public Health Science. Anne Hagen furthered their education by pursuing a Master's degree in Public Health Science from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen, which they completed between 2014 and 2016.
