Michael Cox

Michael Cox is the VP of Clinical Development at Day One Biopharmaceuticals. Prior to joining Day One, Michael was the Associate Director at FibroGen, Inc. from October 2015 to October 2020. In this role, they were responsible for managing the clinical site negotiation process, overseeing work performed by CROs, reviewing budgets, and training staff.

Before their time at FibroGen, Michael was the Sr. Manager of Outsourcing at MedImmune from April 2009 to September 2015. In this role, they were responsible for overall management and oversight of outsourcing and contracting activities, strategic relationships with vendors, leading key sourcing initiatives, and more.

Michael has a wealth of experience in contract negotiation, clinical site management, and project management. Michael is a strong leader and an expert in their field.

Michael Cox has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Bachelor from Duke University in French and Mathematics. Michael also has a degree in Mediaeval French from Université Paris Cité.

Michael Cox reports to Jeremy Bender, Chief Executive Officer. Michael Cox works with Mike Preigh - Chief of Technology Operations, Davy Chiodin - Chief Development Officer, and Lazar Dimitrov - VP of Business Development.
