Mike Weaver has a lengthy work experience in the field of information systems and technology. Mike began their career in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant, working on F-15 Avionics Systems. After leaving the military, they joined the Louisiana Air National Guard as a Network Manager, where they led a transition project from Banyan Vines to Windows NT 4.
In 2000, Weaver joined Insight as an IT Manager, responsible for managing the Windows, UNIX, and Networking environment. Mike played a key role in the migration of mission-critical systems and infrastructure, including SAP and enterprise-class SANs, as well as the implementation of a global MPLS network. Mike also worked on infrastructure reviews, practices and controls, and compliance processes.
At Insight, Weaver was promoted to Director of IT Systems, overseeing a $15M budget and a team of managers, technical staff, and offshore resources. Mike managed IT service delivery, data center operations, and various administrative functions.
In 2006, Weaver became the Director of Cloud Operations at Insight, leading a strategic team in constructing and executing the company's enterprise cloud strategy. Mike also launched the Cloud Operations Practice, bringing cloud-based services to Insight's clients. During this time, they played a pivotal role in designing and developing the cloud portal solution used by Insight to this day.
In 2011, Weaver joined Veritra as the VP Cloud and Services, responsible for establishing the cloud infrastructure and service delivery model of the early-stage IT solutions firm. Mike created a global technical team and developed cloud-based offerings based on the strategic technology roadmap.
Weaver later moved to Schuff Steel as the Director of Information Systems in 2013, reporting directly to the CEO. In this role, they established policies and procedures for the information systems/technology department, aligned with company objectives. Mike analyzed the needs of different departments and determined ways to meet business objectives through modifying or developing new information systems.
Currently, Weaver holds the position of CIO at DBM Global Inc., assumed in 2014.
Mike Weaver earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix in 2000. Mike continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Master's degree in Computer Information Systems in 2003. Additionally, in January 2021, Mike obtained two certifications: Certified Bitcoin Expert from the Blockchain Council and How Blockchains Will Change Business from LinkedIn.
