Mary Laura Calhoun

Mary Laura Calhoun has extensive experience in early childhood education, specializing in inclusion and special education. Current roles at DC Bilingual Public Charter School since June 2017 include teaching Kinder English and Pre-K 4 English. Previous positions range from Early Childhood Special Education Teacher at Powell Bilingual Elementary School to Mixed Age Pre-Kindergarten Inclusion Teacher across multiple institutions, where Calhoun employed various instructional strategies and frameworks, including Reggio Emilia practices and multi-sensory teaching methods, to support diverse learners.
