Rebecca Buchan

Rebecca Buchan has a strong journalism background, with extensive experience in various editorial roles. Rebecca started their career as an intern at Independent on Sunday, where they pitched and wrote their own stories and assisted other journalists. Rebecca then joined Aberdeen Journals as a news reporter before specializing as a senior court reporter for The Press and Journal. Rebecca also worked at Elevator UK as a business marketing mentor. Currently, they are employed at DC Thomson, where they have held positions such as Assistant News Editor, Business Editor, Editor, City and Shire Editor, and Deputy Head of News and Sport.

Rebecca Buchan completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Aberdeen from 2005 to 2009, earning a 2:1 MA degree in English. Following this, they pursued a postgraduate degree at City University London from 2009 to 2010, obtaining an MA with merit in Investigative Journalism.
