Michelle Chavez

Michelle Chavez is an experienced research scientist specializing in assay development, with a demonstrated history in leading projects at notable organizations. Currently serving as a Research Scientist III at DCN Dx since August 2021, Michelle focuses on high-performance rapid assay systems, particularly in lateral flow, flow-through, and microfluidic formats. Prior roles include Research Scientist at Fluxergy, where responsibilities encompassed the development and validation of rapid diagnostic assays, and various positions at DCN Diagnostics, including Research Scientist II and Research Associate. Earlier experience includes quality assurance and regulatory affairs at Syntron Bioresearch, where Michelle contributed to the development of colloidal gold lateral flow immunoassays, and technical services at Cliniqa. Michelle also served as a Research and Development Supervisor at Aalto Scientific, leading significant projects related to laboratory materials and methods. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
