Joe Elam

Joe Elam has extensive work experience in the field of information systems security and cybersecurity. Joe is currently working at DCS Corp as an Information Systems Security Manager and Cybersecurity Team Lead. Joe previously worked at ERC, Inc as an Information Systems Security Manager. Prior to that, they worked at SURVICE Engineering as a Senior Software Analyst. Joe also has experience in the United States Air Force, where they served as an Academic Instructor and Network Administration Course Manager. Additionally, they worked as an Academic Instructor in Network Administration at L-3 Communications. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Military Trainer at Northrop Grumman Information Systems and TRW Inc. Joe started their career as a Software Engineer at SAIC and as an Associate Computer Analyst at PRC Inc. Before transitioning to the private sector, they served in the United States Air Force, where they held roles as an Intelligence Operations Analyst and Security Specialist.

Joe Elam received their Associate of Arts degree in Information Systems from Northwest Florida State College in 2001. In 2004, they enrolled in the University of West Florida to study Management Information Systems, but their end year is not provided. Additionally, they have obtained certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in 2021, ITIL v3 Foundation in 2015, Security+ from CompTIA in 2009, CCAF Occupational Instructor from the Community College of the Air Force in 2003, and CISSP from ISC2 in 2014.
