Koen Haegens

Koen Haegens is an experienced journalist with a strong background in economics and finance. Currently serving as a journalist at De Groene Amsterdammer since January 2022, Koen previously held the position of editor at de Volkskrant from September 2016 to January 2022 and worked in various editorial roles at De Groene Amsterdammer from March 2006 to August 2016. Additionally, Koen was a fellow at the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities and Social Sciences from September 2014 to January 2015. Early in the career, Koen was an eindredacteur at AD NieuwsMedia from September 2005 to February 2006. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Amsterdam and a Master of Science in Political Science from Leiden University.
