Tessel Jonquière

Tessel Jonquière is a seasoned professional in the fields of religious studies and Biblical scholarship, currently serving as a Senior Acquisitions Editor for Religious Studies, Theology, and World Christianity at De Gruyter Brill since June 2011. With prior roles including Acquisitions Editor and Assistant Editor, Tessel manages book projects from manuscript to print-ready files. Tessel also operates a freelance editing business, providing writing, editing, and translation services, alongside independent research in Biblical Studies and Judaica aimed at a non-specialist audience. Previous editorial experience includes positions with the Remonstrant Church and the Netherlands Bible Society, contributing to various publications. Tessel holds a PhD in Judaism from Utrecht University and an MA in Theology from Leiden University, along with additional training in journalism.
