Richard Kirby

Richard Kirby is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the currency and manufacturing sectors. Since September 2009, Richard has held several key roles at De La Rue, including Commercial Technical Manager, Product Release Manager, Currency Enquiry Manager, and Project Manager, where responsibilities involved interfacing between supply chain and currency functions and implementing lean manufacturing methodologies at the Bank of England print site. Richard also served as Training Manager, overseeing the technical training during a significant staff increase and managing the installation of new facilities in Sri Lanka. Prior to De La Rue, Richard worked as a High Security Banknote Printer at the Bank of England from September 2002 to September 2009. Richard's academic credentials include an M.B.A. in Innovation and Technology Management from the London School of Business and Finance, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies from The Open University, a BTEC Higher National Diploma in Three Dimensional Design from Newcastle College, and a BTEC National Diploma in General Art and Design & History of Art from Thurrock Technical College.
