Ariejan Korteweg

Ariejan Korteweg is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in political reporting and editorial leadership. Currently serving as a writer for Athenaeum - Polak & Van Gennep, Korteweg focuses on political themes and societal observations, notably through the lens of recent transformations in Dutch politics, as showcased in the book "Het Haagse moeras." Since 1990, Korteweg has been a political editor at de Volkskrant, holding various positions including French correspondent, deputy editor-in-chief, head of Arts & Culture, and editor of the arts supplement. Previous works include contributions to De Geus, with books such as "Lobbyland, de geheime krachten in Den Haag" and "Surplace - over de ziel van Frankrijk."
