Ellen Schindler

Ellen Schindler has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Ellen is currently the CEO and Partner at De Zwarte Hond. In addition, they serve as a Councilor at the Council for Culture and is the Founder/Director of Stichting Ken Je Stad, Maak Je Stad. Ellen is also a Board Member at Cultuur Concreet and the Chairman of the Board at Conny Janssen Danst. Ellen has previously held positions as a Jury member for the Next Step Program at BNA, a Lecturer at Design Academy Eindhoven and Koninklijke Academie, and a Partner and CEO at Kossmann.dejong. Ellen's expertise lies in the fields of art, heritage, design, and media, and they are known for their passion for architecture and urban design.

Ellen Schindler began their education at Rombouts College from 1980 to 1986. Following that, they attended Willem de Kooning Academy Rotterdam from 1986 to 1991, where they pursued a field of study in Interior Architecture. Ellen then enrolled in Erasmus University Rotterdam from 1991 to 1995, focusing on Art and Culture Studies. Returning to Nyenrode Business University in 2019, Ellen completed a program in Business Development. In 2023, they furthered their education at Nyenrode Business University ism PW.academy, specializing in Learning & Development. Moreover, they were also engaged in a program on Excellent Leadership at Nyenrode Business University in the same year.
