Joshua Norman

Joshua Norman is a skilled Software Engineer with extensive experience in software development and data engineering. Currently a Software Engineer II at Deako Lighting since March 2021, Joshua pioneered a library for managing an event-based distributed system via Bluetooth Mesh, significantly reducing provisioning time and enabling faster device control. Joshua's previous roles include Lead Developer & Data Engineer at Prisma Health, where a budget-friendly data pipeline was created and a mobile app for Alzheimer's monitoring was designed. Prior experience includes scaling a React Native application at Deako Lighting, serving as a Peer Assisted Learning Leader and Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Clemson University, and conducting research as a Software Engineer at the Clemson Tangible Visualization Group. Joshua holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Clemson University.
