John Shumate

John Shumate is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor with a strong background in finance and management. Currently serving as the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Venture First since April 2009, John also holds positions as General Partner at Whiskey Capital Finance Co. and Chairman at Strike Ventures. In addition, John is an active Board Member for DealerTradeNetwork and Scottsdale Construction Systems, and maintains a robust investment portfolio that includes GoodMaps, Forecastr, GoWild, BabySparks, and Nymbl Systems. John Shumate's academic credentials include a B.S. in Economics with concentrations in finance and management from The Wharton School.
