James Button

James Button has extensive experience in the wine industry, currently serving as Regional Editor for Italy at Decanter since August 2016, where previous roles included Associate Regional Editor for Northern Italy, Loire, Alsace & Champagne, and Digital Wine Sub Editor. Prior to Decanter, James held the position of Fine Wine & Private Client Manager at Perfect Cellar from October 2014 to July 2016, and served as Senior Assistant Manager at Majestic Wine from November 2006 to September 2014. James began professional involvement in archaeology with a voluntary role as Assistant Archaeologist at the University of Oxford in July 2006. Academic qualifications include a Level 4 Diploma and Level 3 Advanced Certificate from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) and a BA (Hons) in Classical Archaeology from Royal Holloway, University of London.
