Raul Velarde

Raul Velarde is the current CEO at Decipher Credit. Prior to this, they were the Managing Director at Claro Trade Finance, LLC from January 2011 to December 2018. Before that, they were the Senior Vice President at Bibby International Trade Finance from January 2005 to December 2010. Raul has over 15 years of experience in finance and trade.

Raul started their career in finance at Bibby Financial Services, where they were the Senior Vice President. Raul was responsible for starting and managing Bibby’s Purchase Order Finance Inc., a successful subsidiary of Bibby. After five years at Bibby, Raul moved to Claro Trade Finance, LLC, where they were the Managing Director for eight years. In this role, Raul was responsible for helping businesses grow by providing them with quick access to working capital. Raul offered creative financing solutions that helped businesses maintain flexibility and cash flow throughout their sales cycle.

In January of 2019, Raul became the CEO of Decipher Credit. Decipher Credit is a credit reporting agency that provides businesses with the information they need to make informed credit decisions. Under Raul’s leadership, Decipher Credit has become one of the leading credit reporting agencies in the United States.

Raul Velarde completed an executive education program at Columbia Business School. Raul then completed an MBA in finance at American University - Kogod School of Business. Finally, they completed a BS in information systems at American University.
