Andre Carneiro

Senior Director, Medical Affairs International at Deciphera Pharmaceuticals

Andre Carneiro has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and medical industry. Andre is currently working as a Senior Director of Medical Affairs International at Deciphera Pharmaceuticals since 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Seagen as a Medical Director and later as an Associate Medical Director, where they played a crucial role in developing regional medical plans and acted as an internal expert for Medical Science Liaisons. Andre was also a member of Health Parliament Portugal during their time at Health Parliament Portugal. Before that, they worked at BIAL as a Global Medical Affairs Manager and Medical Affairs Manager, where they led the global department and collaborated with business partners to develop medical plans. Andre also worked at Richmond Pharmacology as a Clinical Research Physician, University Hospital Limerick as a Registrar in Respiratory Medicine and a SHO in Respiratory Medicine and General Medicine, Hospital Braga as a Trainee Specialist in Internal Medicine, and CHTMAD, Chaves as a General Intern. These experiences have provided Andre Carneiro with a diverse skill set and a strong background in medical affairs and research.

Andre Carneiro has a diverse education history. Andre obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Executive MBA from Porto Business School, completing their studies between 2016 and 2018. Prior to that, they pursued a Doctor of Medicine (MD) at Universidad de Santiago de Compostela from 2002 to 2008, focusing on the field of Medicine. Andre also enhanced their knowledge by taking a short course called "Understanding Clinical Research: Behind the Statistics" at the University of Cape Town in 2020. Alongside their formal education, they have received certifications in Advanced Life Support (ALS) from the Resuscitation Council (UK) in July 2014 and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the ERC European Resuscitation Council in June 2012.
