Phil Coffman

Director of Quality and Regulatory Affairs at Decon7

Phil Coffman has a long and varied work experience. Phil began their career in 1995 as a Manufacturing Development Engineer at Hewlett-Packard. In 1999, they took on a Senior Process Engineer role at Texas Instruments, where they were granted 6 US patents. At the same time, they also served as a Visiting Adjunct Professor of Chemistry and Physics at the University of Portland. In 2002, they joined Leonardo DRS as a Senior R&D Product Engineer, Wafer Fab Process Engineering Manager and Senior Capital Coordinator, where they managed a group of seven process engineers in wafer fabrication facility and was responsible for more than 50 capital projects valued at more than $18M. In 2010, they became President of Solid State Process Corporation and then in 2011, they took on a Regional Sales Manager role at SPEC Equipment Corporation and a Director, Quality and New Products role at Trion Technology, Inc. In 2013, they joined Fritz Industries, Inc. as Corporate Compliance Manager, where they managed a department of business analysts that focused on quality systems, compliance and business development. Phil also led an improvement team that increased pass rates by 14% and yield by 20%. Most recently, in 2020, they became the Director of Quality and Regulatory Affairs at Decon7 Systems.

Phil Coffman has a diverse educational background. Phil obtained a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Missouri-Columbia, an M.S. in Materials Chemistry from Arizona State University, and a Ph.D. in Materials Chemistry from Arizona State University. Phil also holds a Certificate in Six Sigma Green Belt from Arizona State University, obtained in 2007, as well as an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor - Quality Certification from Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance, obtained in 2018. Phil's educational journey began at Park Hill High School.
