Margie Scott began their work experience in 2013 as a Policy Intern at the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Margie then moved on to become a Policy Staff Assistant, where they assisted with policy papers, legislation, and rulemaking proposals. Margie also played a role in preparing analyses and drafting language for a legislative proposal. After their time at the department, Margie worked as a Market Research Analyst at US Submergent Technologies, where they prepared presentations, budgets, and marketing strategies. In 2015, they transitioned to FLEETCOR as a Revenue Analyst, where they created budgets and conducted variance analyses. Margie then worked as an Energy Analyst at Burton Energy Group, managing client energy supply contracts and publishing updates and newsletters. From 2017 to 2022, Margie worked at Bonita Beach Boat Center, Inc. as an Accountant and Process Improvement Engineer. Margie performed bookkeeping and accounts administration tasks and implemented digital processes for advanced data collection and customer payments. Margie's most recent roles include an Accounting Associate position at Graphite and a Staff Accountant position at DeCurtis Corporation. Currently, they hold the position of Accounting Specialist at the North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association.
Margie Scott completed their Associate's Degree at Florida Gulf Coast University from 2010 to 2012. Margie then pursued their Bachelor's Degree in Economics at Florida State University, which they obtained from 2012 to 2014. Following that, they furthered their education at the same institution and acquired a Master of Science (M.S.) in Applied Economics from 2014 to 2015. Currently, Margie Scott is studying Accounting at Louisiana State University, where they began their program in 2021.
