Punith R

Punith R is an experienced professional with a strong background in agricultural research and management. Currently serving as Area Manager at Deejay Coconut Farm Pvt. Ltd. since July 2018, Punith R has previously held positions as Assistant Breeder at Tropica Seeds from November 2015 to July 2018, and as Senior Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Horticultural Research from April 2011 to July 2018. In the role at the Indian Institute of Horticultural Research, Punith R focused on breeding programs aimed at enhancing resistance in tomatoes to biotic and abiotic stresses, including planning and executing breeding programs, developing new lines and hybrids, and identifying marketable products. Punith R holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree from the University of Mysore, obtained between 2007 and 2009.
