Fernando Setti

Fernando Setti is a backend engineer at Deel. Fernando has previously worked as a full-stack developer at alt.bank and as a software engineer and solutions architect at Banco Santander.

Setti has experience in banking services backend development on Java 8 using the Jooby framework, internet banking flutter frontend development for both mobile and web, API service providers integration and abstraction to pluggable modules, money delivery app development using flutter frontend and Java backend, improving legacy code and applying good practices for more quality of code, and data lake architecting and automation.

Setti also has experience in processes automation and API integration, agile project management including planning, kanbam, prototyping, issues tracking and assignments and systems engineering, understanding of the business and suggesting innovative solutions, desktop apps development using React, Python and Chrominium (Kiosk mode), deep learning applied to text cleaning and classification, web apps development with restful APIs and single page application front-ends that are compatible even to old browsers as Internet Explorer (Angular 8, ScaleArmorJS, Quartz e Flask), and face detection and identification developed in Python using OpenCV and Deep Learning. Azure Cognitive Services were also employed for extracting the emotion out of the images.

Fernando Setti has a specialization in Data Science and BigData from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais, a specialization in BigData project administration from Descomplica, and a bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Fatec Franca. Fernando also did exchange studies in Information Technology at Debreceni Egyetem. Fernando has certifications from Code School in Shaping up with Angular.js and from edX in edX Honor Code Certificate for Artificial Intelligence.
