Research Scientist at Deep Render

Sebastjan Cizel is currently a Research Scientist at Deep Render. Prior to this, they were a PhD Candidate and Tutor at Magdalen College, University of Oxford from 2017 to 2021. Their PhD research was at the interface of geometry and theoretical physics, and they were interested in understanding classes of geometric objects that arise naturally in different corners of string theory. As a Tutor, they prepared and conducted tutorials based on the individual requirements of the group they were teaching and was actively involved in tracking the progress of students throughout the academic year.

Sebastjan Cizel has a comprehensive education history. From 2013 to 2016, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics. Sebastjan then went on to earn a Master's degree in Mathematics from Imperial College London in 2017. Most recently, they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mathematics from the University of Oxford in 2021. Additionally, Sebastjan has obtained various certifications from LinkedIn and Coursera, including "C++ Templates and the STL", "Faster Python Code", "Java 11+ Essential Training", "Learning Java", "Deep Learning Specialization", "R Programming", "Sequences, Time Series and Prediction", "Structuring Machine Learning Projects", "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization", "Neural Networks and Deep Learning", "Algorithmic Toolbox" and "Machine Learning for Trading".
