Nick Ushio

Nick Ushio has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Nick is currently working as a Visiting Professor at Iwate University since June 2023. Prior to this, they joined United Silk in April 2023 as an Advisor. In 2006, they served as the Principal at ITPC (International Technology Partnership Center). In February 2020, they became a Specially Appointed Professor at Osaka University and a Project Professor at Osaka Metropolitan University in September 2020. Nick took on the role of a Specially Appointed Professor at Yamagata University in July 2021 and a Visiting Professor at the University of Yamanashi in April 2021. Before their academic positions, Nick Ushio gained industry experience as the VP of Global Markets and Solutions, APAC at Hayden AI from August 2019 and in Business Development at SapientX since September 2018. Nick also serves as an Advisor to Redrock Biometrics, Inc. starting February 2021.

From 1982 to 1986, Nick Ushio attended Keio University where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Sciences.
