Yanjun Pan has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering and robotics. From June 2020 to July 2021, Yanjun worked at DeepRoute.ai as a Software Engineer in planning and control. In this role, Yanjun played a vital role in developing software and algorithms for trajectory optimization and obstacle avoidance in autonomous vehicles. Prior to this, from August 2018 to May 2020, Yanjun worked as a Master Thesis Student at Carnegie Mellon University, where they focused on research related to trajectory optimization, specifically iLQR and MPC, and obstacle avoidance. Additionally, Yanjun has experience as a teaching assistant and section tutor at the University of California San Diego, where they assisted with MAE156A (senior design) and MAE3 courses. Before their academic endeavors, Yanjun gained valuable experience as a Student Lead at Goody's Place in 2016 and as a Student Worker at Goody's Market from 2015 to 2016.
Yanjun Pan pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from UC San Diego between 2014 and 2018. Following this, Yanjun enrolled at Carnegie Mellon University and completed a Master of Science - Research in Mechanical Engineering from 2018 to 2020.
