Gemma Garriga

Gemma Garriga is an accomplished technology leader currently serving as the Director of Applied AI at Google, where responsibilities include steering technology strategy and fostering co-innovation with global businesses across various industries. Garriga also acts as a Venture Advisor for AV8 Ventures, focusing on tech strategy and AI market trends, and was a Fellow at Deeptech Labs, contributing to deeptech success. Previously, Garriga held significant roles at Allianz Trade as Chief Digital Officer and at Allianz as Global Head of AI & Advanced Business Analytics, leading digital transformation and delivering scalable AI products. With research experience at prestigious institutions like Inria and the Helsinki Institute for Information Technology, Garriga holds an Executive MBA from INSEAD and multiple degrees in Machine Learning and Computer Science from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
