Defence Attaché - Designate at Defence Academy of the United Kingdom

Alex Bush is a seasoned military professional with extensive experience in leadership and strategic roles within the Royal Navy and NATO. Currently serving as the Defence Attaché - Designate at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom since May 2020, Alex previously held the position of Commander at the Royal Navy Leadership Academy for a brief period in early 2020. From October 2016 to September 2019, Alex contributed to Allied Joint Force Command Naples as the Civil Military Cooperation Policy and Resilience Lead and as a Programme Manager, overseeing the development of the NSDS-Hub. Alex also served as a Civil Military Cooperation Liaison Officer, facilitating engagement with international organizations and NGOs to support NATO operations. Earlier in military career, Alex was a Commanding Officer within the Royal Navy, commanding multiple vessels and units from 2006 to 2012. Alex holds a Master's degree in Defence Studies from King's College London, obtained in 2010.
