James Lance

James Lance currently serves as Directing Staff for the Advanced Command and Staff Course at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom since 2022. Prior experience includes roles such as Commanding Officer of the Royal Armoured Corps Training Regiment and Chief of Staff Recruiting for Army Recruiting and Initial Training Command from 2019 to 2022. Previous positions in the British Army included Military Assistant to the Director of Basing and Infrastructure, Chief of Staff of an Operational Fusion Group at the UK Ministry of Defence, and various roles within armoured and reconnaissance units. James Lance has completed a Master's degree in Defence Studies from King's College London and participated in advanced command and staff courses at the Joint Service Command and Staff College. Education also includes training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and Hurstpierpoint College.
