Katische Vinning

Katische Vinning has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Katische began their career as a Credit Controller at Tanner Menzies in 2000. Katische then worked as a Branch Coordinator at Ambit Recruitment, overseeing the daily operations of the branch and providing executive support services. In 2006, they became a Recruitment Process Delivery Coordinator at the same company, where they coordinated the recruitment process for government agencies.

Vinning joined Thales in 2007 and held multiple roles, including Bid Support Manager and Bid Administrator. In these positions, they worked on analyzing opportunities, providing bid advice, and contributing to the development of winning proposals.

From 2009 to 2013, Vinning took parental leave to raise the next generation of leaders.

In 2014, they returned to work at Defence Housing Australia as an Innovation Manager, driving change through the Creating Homes of Choice (CHOC) program and championing innovation initiatives. Katische later became a Program Manager and was responsible for managing projects and overseeing their successful implementation.

Vinning joined Transport Canberra and City Services in 2016 as the Director of Innovation and Technology in the Strategy, Innovation, and Customer Experience Division. In this role, they managed various services and commercial operations in areas like recycling, public transport, and road management.

In 2017, Vinning returned to Defence Housing Australia as the National Manager of Business Solutions, Technology, and Services. In this role, they led a team responsible for software-related business analysis, in-house software development, and IT services and infrastructure.

Currently, Vinning is the Chief Information Officer at Defence Housing Australia, where they lead, motivates, and directs a team of 75 staff and is accountable for the entire technology function within the organization. Katische also contributes to strategic decisions and ensures high levels of team performance through effective leadership and workforce planning.

Katische Vinning completed a Graduate Certificate in Management at the Australian Institute of Business from 2019 to 2020. Following that, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration, Management, and Operations at the same institution from 2020 to 2022. In 2023, Katische attended the Australian Institute of Company Directors for foundations of Directorship.
