Bohdan Minol

Bohdan Minol is an experienced insurance professional currently serving as the CEE Underwriting and Product Manager at DEFEND INSURANCE GROUP since October 2020, focusing on the development of financial and property risk insurance across Central Europe and surrounding regions. Prior to this role, Minol held key positions at Merkur Insurance Group as Strategy and Development Manager, where strategic analysis of private health insurance was undertaken, and at Generali Pojišťovna a.s. as Head of Property and Liability Claims Handling and Head of Corporate Claims Handling, managing numerous claims teams. Earlier experience includes a Commercial Claims Handling Manager position at Česká pojišťovna, where management of a large team of claims handlers was conducted, as well as roles in reinsurance and product management. Minol’s career began at Ruesch International and includes a management trainee position at Ready Mix USA. An MBA in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business complements an educational background from Silesian University in Opava.
