Jason Pimenta

Jason Pimenta's work experience includes working as a Cyber Security Consultant at DEFEND since September 2022. In this role, they closely collaborate with clients to determine their organization's security baseline and assess their current state using various assessment methodologies and frameworks. Additionally, they provide Microsoft E5 security advice and solutions to clients, guides them in developing their security strategy and governance framework, and implements ongoing programs to enhance their cyber resilience. Prior to DEFEND, from June 2021 to June 2022, Pimenta worked as a Cyber Security Consultant at DEFEND LTD. Jason also served as a Junior Systems Engineer at Overland Footwear Group from July 2020 to June 2021 and as an IT System Technician at Marua Road Cafe from May 2020 to June 2021.

Jason Pimenta completed their Associate's degree in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management from Meridian Community College in 2015 to 2017. Jason then pursued their Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA degree in Computer and Information Systems from the University of North Alabama from 2017 to 2019.

In addition to their formal education, Jason has also obtained several certifications. Jason achieved the Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate certification in July 2021. Jason further obtained the Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals certification in April 2022 and the Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert certification in August 2022.

Jason has also acquired expertise in various security and sales domains. Jason accomplished the Google Cloud Sales and Google Workspace Sales certifications in June 2023. Jason gained the AMPLIFY Security Fundamentals (ASF) certification from Palo Alto Networks in August 2021. Jason achieved the Palo Alto Networks Systems Engineer (PSE)-Foundation certification in April 2022. Lastly, they obtained the Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate certification in July 2021 and the Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator Associate certification in March 2023.
