Grant Hargrove has extensive experience in leadership and strategy development gained through various roles in the military and private sector. Grant is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Defense Consulting Services, where they oversee day-to-day operations and sets sustainable strategies. Before this, they were the Senior Director at USSOCOM, directing global force management and readiness of Special Operations Forces. Grant also served as the CEO of Provincial Reconstruction Team Nangarhar in Afghanistan, supporting civil-military operations for 2.7 million people. In the private sector, they are the founder and CEO of Texas Whiskey Experience and served as a Brand Ambassador and Brand Ambassador - Operations at American Freedom Distillery. Hargrove earned a Master of Arts in Strategic Security Studies from the National Defense University and completed several leadership roles within the United States Air Force, including Chief of Police and Chief Financial Officer.

Grant Hargrove has a varied educational background, with a range of degrees from different institutions. Grant started their education at Texas A&M University in 1991 and completed their education there in 1993 without a degree or a field of study. Grant then attended Sam Houston State University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice with a focus on Law Enforcement/Police Science between 1993 and 1995. Grant earned a Master of Arts degree in Security Management from Webster University in 1996-97. In 2008-09, Grant pursued a Master of Science degree in Defense Analysis at the Naval Postgraduate School, concentrating on terrorists' operations and finance. Finally, in 2016-17, they earned a Master of Arts degree in Strategic Security Studies from the College of International Security Affairs.
