Andrew "Carl" Carlson has a diverse range of work experience. Andrew "Carl" started their career with the US Navy as a Mass Communications Specialist, where they edited clips for broadcast-quality products and traveled nationally and internationally for electronic news gathering (ENG). After leaving the Navy, they worked as a Video Producer Intern at Ames Laboratory, where they produced science-related content for social media and shot laboratory events. Following this, they joined Sun Country Airlines as an Airline-Operations Center Agent, where they efficiently assigned gates and coordinated communication between radio channels. Most recently, Carlson worked at Defense Media Activity, first as an Audiovisual Production Specialist, operating cameras for live broadcasts and interpreting requirements for large-scale productions. Later, they became the Editor-in-chief of All Hands Magazine, overseeing daily operations and managing video and multimedia productions. Throughout their career, Carlson consistently met deadlines and demonstrated technical expertise in video production.
Andrew "Carl" Carlson completed a Master's degree in New Media Journalism at Full Sail University from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science from Iowa State University, where they studied from 2009 to 2011. Additionally, Andrew attended Syracuse University in 2005 and 2006, earning a Military Motion Media Certificate with a focus on Television Radio and Film.
