Juan Ariel Cuadrado serves as the Chief of the Nuclear Survivability Division at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency since November 2015, overseeing a $30 million annual nuclear survivability program. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Engineer at TASC, Inc. supporting DTRA with integration and programmatic advisory services, and Deputy Director of the U.S Army Nuclear and Combating WMD Agency, providing operational support to senior Army leaders. Cuadrado also held the position of Deputy Director for Nuclear Policy at the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, advising on nuclear planning and integration. Previous roles include managing a $177 million WMD nonproliferation R&D program at the Department of Energy and serving as a Military Research Associate at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Cuadrado holds a Master of Science in National Resource Strategy and a Master of Science in Analytical Chemistry, along with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Chemistry.
