Nick Thorne

Nicholas Thorne, PhD, serves as Solutions Manager and Senior Consultant at Defense Trade Solutions since August 2021. Concurrently, Nicholas holds the position of Adjunct Professor in the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences at the University of Arizona since January 2022. Prior roles include Interim Analysis Administrator and Superintendent of Research and Analysis at the Tucson Police Department between January 2020 and July 2021, and Senior Global Trade Licensing Analyst at Raytheon from May 2016 to January 2020. Nicholas has extensive experience in compliance with US Government regulations and in various academic roles teaching courses on international relations, statistics, and policy. Nicholas earned a PhD in Political Science and Government from the University of Arizona in 2015, along with a Master's degree and a Bachelor of Arts in the same field from the University of Arizona and The University of Tulsa, respectively.
