Josh Brewer has a diverse work experience in various roles. Josh started their career in 2018 as a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Engineer at the United States Air Force, where they were responsible for managing Windows and Linux based servers and client systems, overseeing VDI environment configuration, and eliminating cyber vulnerabilities. Josh also served as an Event Manager, ensuring the secure and sustained availability of assigned systems and applications. Following their time in the Air Force, they worked as a Cloud Support Engineer at Amazon Web Services, providing support and maintenance for cloud infrastructure. In 2022, they joined the Air National Guard as a System Administrator, and the following year, they secured a role as a Unicorn Engineer at Defense Unicorns.
Josh Brewer began their education journey in 2014 and completed their Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice at Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2018. Josh then pursued further education at the University of Maryland Global Campus from 2020 to 2021, earning a Master of Science (MS) degree in Cloud Computing Architecture. In addition to their formal education, Josh has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge in various areas. Josh received the VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization in 2020, followed by the VMware vSphere 6.7 Foundations certification in 2020. Josh also holds the CompTIA Linux+ ce Certification and the CompTIA Security+ certification, which were obtained in 2021 and 2019, respectively. Moreover, they acquired the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2021. To further diversify their skill set, Josh completed the Python Essential Training course offered by LinkedIn in December 2021.
