Melissa Caviglia O'Donnell has a diverse work experience. Melissa is currently working as a DevSecOps Unicorn Engineer at Defense Unicorns since November 2022. Prior to that, they were employed as a Software Engineer at Georgia Tech Research Institute from May 2020 to October 2022. Melissa also worked at Corsair Ranch as a Developer from December 2019 to October 2022, where they gained experience in web-based and containerized application development using various technologies such as Spring MVC, NodeJS, HTML, Java, JavaScript, JQuery, MySQL, Postgres, and Docker. Before that, they interned as a Software Engineering Intern at Meggitt from May 2019 to December 2019, where they provided support to the software engineering team and helped design and implement real-time, embedded security systems for the aerospace industry. Melissa's early work experience includes working as a Private Tutor at Melissa's Math Tutoring from August 2009 to December 2018, where they tutored high school and college students in math and science, organized study sessions, and coached students in time management, organizational skills, and note-taking.
Melissa Caviglia O'Donnell began their education journey in 2009 at Pima Community College, where they pursued an Associate of Science degree in General Studies. Melissa completed their studies at Pima Community College in 2011. Following this, Melissa enrolled at Southern New Hampshire University in 2017 and graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Currently, they are furthering their education at Southern New Hampshire University, where they are expected to complete a Master of Science degree in Cyber Security by 2024.
