Randy Franks has worked in a variety of roles since 2011. Randy began their career as a CPL at Marine Corps Recruiting, where they maintained a DoD Secret Clearance and provided management with updated information for client projects. In 2017, they worked as a Student Accounts Receivable/Non-Student Accounts Intern and Accounting Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. In 2018, they were an Accountant and Intern at Adam Shay CPA, PLLC. In 2019, they were an Inventory Specialist at Best Buy, where they were responsible for ensuring display quality of inventory on the shelves and providing customer support. In 2020, they were a Field Operations Specialist at The Looma Project and an Information Technology Support Specialist at Pine Valley Library, where they provided customer assistance in the use of computers, copier, fax, etc. and assisted with computer software and applications. Currently, they are a Cyber Security Engineer and Cyber Security Analyst at DefenseStorm, where they ensure cyber risk readiness with a comprehensive system, including cyber security, compliance, and fraud.

Randy Franks attended Dutchtown High School from 2007 to 2011 and obtained a high school degree. Randy then attended Craven Community College from 2015 to 2017, studying Accounting. In 2017, they transferred to the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Business/Management in 2019. Randy is currently enrolled at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where they are pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Cyber Security, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
