Jose Helio Brum Muller

Jose Helio Brum Muller has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Jose Helio started their career in 2010 as the Founder of Bolsa de Produtos, an e-commerce startup where they developed and implemented business strategies, managed a multidisciplinary team, and handled financial, operational, and IT management. During their time at Bolsa de Produtos, they secured funding for two research projects.

In 2016, Jose served as an Outsourcing Consultant at Alexion Biopharmaceutical and an IT Consultant at UltraPark Group, where they assessed technological infrastructure and ERP systems, conducted financial modeling, and redefined operational and administrative processes.

From 2016 to 2018, they held the position of Head of IT Department at PetsOnMe.com.au and PetsOnMe, where they managed the IT department and led IT projects.

In 2018, Jose joined Prospa as a Senior Data Scientist and progressed to the roles of Senior Risk Analyst, Risk Technical Lead, and Lead Machine Learning. Jose Helio played a crucial role in developing machine learning models and platforms related to risk analysis and data science.

Currently, Jose works at Deferit as the Head of Data, a position they started in April 2023.

Jose Helio Brum Muller has a strong educational background with a focus on data science, robotics, system control, and automation. In 2003, they began their undergraduate studies at USP - Universidade de São Paulo, where they pursued a degree in Mechatronic. Jose Helio successfully completed their studies in this field in 2009.

After a few years of professional experience, Jose further enhanced their knowledge by pursuing a Master's degree in Data Science at UNSW from 2017 to 2019. This degree undoubtedly provided him with a deep understanding of data analysis techniques and methodologies.
