Carolyn Marchetti has a diverse work experience in the field of education. Carolyn started their career as a State Math Advisor at the Pennsylvania Department of Education, where they helped districts align their math curriculum to state standards and served as a reviewer for mathematics education programs at colleges and universities.

Carolyn then worked as a Math and Science Coordinator at the Abington School District, where they analyzed assessment data and facilitated analysis of PSSA results to improve student achievement. After that, they served as a Math Supervisor and Assessment Coordinator at the Phoenixville Area School District, where they continued to analyze assessment data and provided guidance to improve teaching strategies and address achievement gaps.

Carolyn also worked as a Program Administrator at the Berks County Intermediate Unit, where they assisted districts in aligning their math curriculum to Common Core State Standards and provided online instruction on the PA Standards Aligned System. Carolyn later joined Defined Learning as a Consultant, creating and reviewing STEM tasks aligned with various standards.

Carolyn then joined Discovery Communications as a Manager of Techbook and Educational Consultant. In this role, they increased digital partnerships and sales by providing pedagogical expertise, and they presented at conferences on digital integration, mathematics instruction, and the use of Discovery Education resources.

Carolyn also worked at Data Recognition Corporation as a Senior Project Lead, overseeing the development of state assessments and improving processes and product quality. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Curriculum & Professional Learning and Director, Curriculum & Training at Defined Learning, where they continue to contribute to curriculum development and professional learning.

Carolyn Marchetti received their Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Math Education from Penn State University in 1989. Carolyn then pursued a Master's degree in Education with a focus on Teaching & Curriculum at Penn State University - Harrisburg and completed it in 2003. Lastly, they earned a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Immaculata University between 2008 and 2013.
