Meghan Raftery

Meghan Raftery is an experienced education professional currently serving as an Education Designer at Education Design Lab, focusing on future work-oriented education. As the Founder of Edjacent and holding a position in Curriculum and Training at Defined Learning, Meghan Raftery has a strong background in designing authentic learning experiences and promoting educator innovation. Previous roles include Innovation Coordinator at Virginia Beach City Public Schools, where special projects were facilitated, and Executive Director of BUY FRESH BUY LOCAL HAMPTON ROADS, advocating for local food systems. Meghan Raftery began a career in education in Eastern Lancaster County School District and has held various leadership and instructional roles within Virginia Beach City Public Schools. Educational qualifications include a BSED in Elementary Education from Shippensburg University, an MSED in Teaching and Curriculum from Penn State University, a Gifted Endorsement from the University of Virginia, and a Certificate in Educational Leadership from The George Washington University.
