Gemma Gatti has worked in a variety of roles since 2013. Gemma began as a Biochemistry and Molecular Biology research student at the Università degli Studi di Parma in 2013, followed by a role as a Cardiovascular research student at the same university in 2014. In 2018, they moved to Imperial College London as a Computational Chemistry research student in the Department of Chemistry. Most recently, Gemma has been working at DefiniGEN since 2020 as a Scientist II, CRISPR Scientist, and Production Laboratory Technician.

Gemma Gatti has a background in Biology Science, having received a Bachelor of Science from Università degli Studi di Parma in 2013. Gemma then went on to earn a Master of Science in Medical, Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Biotechnologies from the same institution in 2015. In 2017, Gemma completed a Master of Research in Drug Discovery and Development: Multidisciplinary Science for Next Generation Therapeutics from Imperial College London.
