Martin Willis has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Martin started their career in 2005 as a Team Leader/Duty Manager at Homebase Ltd., where they managed a team, assisted customers, and ensured department compliance. In 2012, they joined HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS), where they held multiple roles, including Judicial Secretariat Team Leader, Deputy Team Leader, Listing Officer and Civil Appeals Clerk, and Clerk to the Designated Civil Judge for Wales. In these roles, they provided administrative support, managed judicial vacancies, and maintained communication with courts and stakeholders. From 2019, they worked at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, starting as the Head of Business Management and later taking on the role of Business Engagement Lead. Martin gathered insights and informed policy in the post-Brexit trading context for Northern Ireland and agri-food goods movement. Overall, Martin has shown adaptability, leadership, and strong communication skills throughout their career.
Martin Willis attended the University of Wales, Cardiff from 2004 to 2007, where they pursued a BA (Hons) degree in Fine Art with a focus on Painting.
