Michael Carando

Michael Carando is an experienced R&D Systems Engineer currently working at DEKA Research & Development since September 2018. Prior to this role, Michael worked at Ascensia Diabetes Care from November 2016 to August 2018, where responsibilities included managing requirements and risk processes for diabetes care devices while collaborating with a global R&D team. Michael played a key role in developing high-level architecture for integrating cloud services and mobile applications with BLE connected devices. Earlier, Michael served as a GDC Engineering Coop at DePuy Synthes Companies between January 2015 and January 2016, focusing on standardized testing methods and creating drill guide designs. Michael earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology between 2012 and 2016.
