Samuel Wishnie

Samuel Wishnie is a Mechanical Engineer with a significant background in the medical device industry. Currently employed at DEKA Research & Development since August 2021, Samuel specializes in designing critical mechanisms for modular medical devices, including prototype development and Finite Element Analysis. Prior experience includes roles as a Research & Development Mechanical Engineer at Getinge, where Samuel successfully developed a thermoformed component for life-support equipment, and as a Manufacturing Engineer at Philips, focusing on the validation of safety processes for medical products. Additional experience at Medtronic involved the development of an innovative electronic tissue dissection device, and Samuel gained early engineering skills at Mars International Inc. with a focus on dimensional tolerances. Samuel holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder.
